Just a brief note ... Charles is on his way back from Cape Town now, "Starfire" having had her bottom scraped and antifouled, engine checked, some woodwork sanded and varnished, new mainsail cover, nav lights replaced etc., I spoke to him at 9am today and he was somewhere off Jacobsbaai (he thought!), he hopes to be into the river late afternoon, there was a big swell running but by the time he gets into the Bay here, it should be a lot quieter. Public holiday tomorrow, so hopefully, we will get out for a sail. In the meantime, we will gather with P and B for slupper with some of the mates to celebrate whichever public day it is!!!
