Monday 9th we went out with Derek and Diana with Andy on board to watch the Classic Yacht racing in the Solent. For once the weather was trying to behave and gave the racers a good day with some sunshine and a steady strong wind which shouldn't have done too much damage to gear or persons! There were about 65 entries in several classes I have posted some pics ........

Looking across to the Solent and the mainland. At least we don't have to go tropical to see a pretty sunset!!!

Mind you, one does need a chart for Newtown, it is deceptive when the tide goes out, also those little green or red buoys do actually mean something.............. how not to do it!!!! (I hasten to add this is Not us!)...

The light during the evening was lovely and the weather was very peaceful after all the rough stuff we have been having.....
