Resting in Bora Bora

Marie
Have had a busy three weeks with our niece Reanna and now are resting up getting ready for the next adventure. Still trying to decide if we will take the northern or southern route to Tonga. In the meantime we will be spending a month here anchored outside the Yacht Club where we enjoy the occasional pot luck and five dollar beer.
Cokes downtown cost $7.00 and diet cokes $3.50 to $5.00. There is a big tax here on sugar.
We had a great laugh at the French Polynesian food pyramid which features two large baguettes at the base. Surprisingly we are adhering to this food pyramid since baguettes are the only good deal in town at $0.50 each. The bag to carry them in cost $0.20 so we reuse our bags.
We are no longer at the end of the pack. We are actually waiting here for three friends, Sula, in Tahiti for repairs, Worrelwind in Tahiti while traveling back to the States for a wedding and Slipaway, last heard from in the Marquesas. We met them years ago in Mexico.
The highlight here is the diving. If you go outside the fringing reef there is a dive that features large sharks at a depth of 70 to 90 feet. Our friends on Trim have made the dive a couple of times now.
That's about it for now, we are still working with a slow internet connection from the Y.C. but will be able to check emails for the next couple of weeks.
