What a couple of days we had enroute to Kudat on the tip of Borneo. The wind was right behind us and 25/30 knots on both days.we ad an ovenight stop at Ambong at 06.22.192N 116,20.108E near a small village only 30nm out of KK. we left there at 0600 hrs and sailed fast all day in some trying conditions at times having to keep wrking our way up to clear some headlands. Having Grant Fenwick on board was great. Carol didnt enjoy he two days all that much but we needed to make the miles.
We had a parcel waiting for us in Kudat. we have now installed a new sal track mechanisim to get the sal up and down easier.
Kudat is a very small town with only 70,000 people but older and more interesting than the newer cities we have been in recently. we will get out and have a look around over the next week and I will up date on our progress then
