We are still in Kudat in preparation for the trip up to Palawan in the Philipines. the people of Kudat are very friendly and we have found some great eating places. The town has a large Muslim population that is mixed with Chinese and Malay so the food varies mainly in taste and experiences, the quality is always good.
We are ancoured out in front of the Kudat Golf and Marina resort and have the use of the facilities which are good. There is a marina here that is finished of sorts but like some other facilities we have found, not built to a great standard. It would only be 12 months old and already unusable.
We took a trip to the Tip of Borneo on Thursday. There were some interesting sights along the way, resorts that were closed, some viliages that were still operating in the traditional way and some nice properties that would be great to have a few days in for a holiday.
Most of the tourism up here seems to come from KK 190 ks away. There are no hire car facilities and only a few hotels. I think this will change over time which will have some positive influences on the town. I will post some photos in the gallery
