Arrived in Bali two weeks past, and Sarangan Island is a nice anchorage with excellent access to Sanur and Sanur's Kite Surfing Beach.
Will be here through August.
Sailing to Sydney

New Zealand is awesome! The natural beauty here is amazing.
Tomorrow I sail for Sydney, one of the great Harbors of the world... definitely Bucket List material. It should be an 8 day journey with good winds from the South East. A sleigh ride over a high pressure system and 700 miles below a cyclone in the Coral Sea.

I am preparing to return to Fyn Alee in Opua, NZ. Two years of work in the US, and how I am free to be a Sailor once again.
Will be in Opua by Oct. 3rd.
Cheers,

I am hard at work in San Francisco, and have two weeks to fly to Fiji for a sailing trip, departing Sept. 13th. I will sail a short off-shore passage to Ile Futuna and back. With some fun and surf where I can find it.

FYN ALEE is on dry land... in Storage while I am back in the US.
Not sure how long we will be apart, but if work ensues it may be a year or two.
For now I am in Marina Del Rey, living on a beautiful Sabre 42.

Bula Bula!!!
Fiji is fantastic, it has obviously been hard to find time to Blog. So here is a combined update. Tonga was a great experience, and the sail from Tonga to Fiji was 2 days of easy sailing and the final day was 40 knots sustained wind with Gusts to 50 kts in the Koro Sea, with 10 foot breaking wind waves on our beam. We sailed at 10 knots under triple reefed main and staysail. And we still caught fish, Tuna and an Ono... the best sushi fish out here!!!!
So far Fiji is fantastic, Savusavu was a very mellow little town with a large sailing contingent... we stayed a week and now we are in Nadi... surfed Cloud Break yesterday. Crazy... to day its over 15 foot and tomorrow is over 30. I will be watching the BigWave Pros.
Scheiney is here for a visit, and we are having an excellent time. The weather is perfect, the water is blue and and 83 degrees. The surf is fantastic ... what more can I say.
