Ted ,Trevor and I have returned to Guatemala. A wonderful visit to the Keys we had enjoying friends and good food. We flew home into San Pedro Sula Honduras, Oct 2 close to midnight. . I was happy to be back in Central America. Driving through the city looking at the aging buildings and sigh's written in spanish I felt so at home. A certain beauty illuminated in my heart for this land and its people so different than the USA. We spent the night at Casa del Arbol. In the morning Otto came and drove us to the Rio Dulce in Guatemala.The drive was 2 hours and 45 minutes with 6 passport checks. No problem when you have nothing to hide .
A special thank you to Viking Life Raft for 53 lbs. of medical supplies, and 46 lbs. of batteries which all made it through customs. Thank you to my friends for 48 lbs. of children's clothing , toys, and the bags to pack them in. Thank you Janet and Dad for homemade chocolate chip cookies the most delicious! Many people will be blessed due to your kindness and generous hearts. We have so much in the USA .Here a pencil and a piece of paper is received with a grateful happy heart.
