First...Gabriella warned me a few days ago that Grandma Pat was upset with me for not being frequent enough with the blog posts...sorry! I left Barra de Navidad lagoon the next day after the sad Super Bowl in company of my monohull friend Joe on Amirage. We sailed to Santiago for a couple of days so he can get his banda ancha(cell tower internet modem). We left Santiago last Wednesday morning and arrived in Cabeza Negra at 2:30 in the afternoon the same day. Departed Cabeza Negra for Muruata and made landfall at 2:30 that same afternoon. Left Muruata the next morning and that afternoon at 2:30 we dropped the hook in Caleta de Campos. Left Caleta de Campos the next morning and anchor was down in Lazaro Cardenas at 2:30 that afternoon. We then left Lazaro Cardenas the next morning and I dropped the anchor in Zihuatanejo Bay at 2:30 that afternoon. I was going to name this blog post The Geriatric Cruise because of all the stops and daytime sailing instead of my normal overnighters that I do. I wanted to show Joe all the anchorages between Barra and Z-town. All those 2:30 times were not right on the half hour, but pretty close. Zihuatanejo is as charming as always. We took the bus over to Playa Linda to see the crocs and to show Joe Isla Grande. I might stay another week, then start my northbound trek. I really don't have the desire to go to Acapulco this year with the threat of violence being ever present in that once wonderful tourist town. I absolutely love talking to my sweet granddaughter on Skype and watching her grow each time we speak. I dedicate these photos of the cocodrillos to you Gabriella.
