Well, this is it for the southbound portion of visiting La Cruz/PV. I'm on to smaller anchorages on the Gold Coast of Mexico. Next stop will be Chamela, about 80 miles from here so will do an overnighter so I can conserve fuel and do pure sailing/cruising. After Chamela I will stop for quite a few days in Tenacatita which is a favorite among cruisers. It has a nice inner anchorage where they filmed the original McHales Navy. It has a long jungle-type river with an amazing canopy most of the distance. I love shooting through this canopy and come out the other end at the outer anchorage which has several palapas that serve great food....shrimp stuffed fish filets with almondine sauce. I have no idea what the internet service will be before I get to Barra De Navidad, so don't know when my next post will be. Susan, all those cats are cruisers who happen to be in the area or planned to be here so they could take part in the race. It benefits local school children. Check out Lectroniclatitude on Monday. I sent pix to Andy Turpin..maybe he will post them.
