A tourist city too big

As I left Acapulco I meandered over to Puerto Marquez which is the bay to the south of the main bay. The other boats that dropped anchor next to me in Acapulco took off after a couple hours and went to Puerto Marquez while I stayed in the main bay. The only pluses of staying put was a nice Italian restaurant and an air conditioned internet cafe. I chatted with SoCal SoGood as I cruised around the other bay and he told me it was real nice even though the cruisers guide says to be careful because of theft and other things. Things have changed there, so next year when I go south I will stop there. I left in the morning for Zihuatanejo and had a nice day. When evening came around the weather started to pick up. All night long in blew to 20 knots on the nose and there was an adverse current of 1 1/2 knots....so I was making 2 knots of progress all night and getting slammed around. Not only that, but my auto-pilot brain went on the fritz. So I swapped out for my backup in the middle of the night with the wind howling. Does it sound like I'm whining??? Finally made it into Zihua bay with my engine overheating...so I have some work to do while resting here. I saw tons of sea turtles on the way back. I'll put some in the photo gallery. I should stay here for about a week then move on to Santiago. Elizabeth, nice hearing from you. When you get old you too can go on a retirement trip and have a blog to amuse all your friends. Look what I have resorted to....fruity O's made in Mexico..had to try them because I can't get my old favorites. Gabriella my Princess, your comments are the best...tell your mom to keep them coming.
