Puerto Vallarta update

When hanging out in La Cruz you either do boat work or travel by bus(14pesos) to Puerto Vallarta and goof off there. I've been tour guide the last couple of days for fellow cruisers. My expertise in changing buses so we could continue on to old town is as about as good as me trying to find/sail to Yelapa. Needless to say, we took a good tour inland of the barrios but did end up in old town. I took some pix that I will put in the gallery. Last night about 8:30 I heard a call on the radio for assistance from a San Juan 24. He said he was becalmed and had no engine and no running lights. He gave me an approximate location and I jumped in my dinghy and motored over in the general direction. The reason I did not hesitate was he said it was him and his wife and their 3 MONTH old baby. So I wondered around in the pitch black night and all I could see was these flickering lights that I thought were a tourist boat coming back in from a day at the Tres Mariettas Islands. So I was about to turn around go back to the shore when My flashlight caught his red hull. So I towed him into the new marina and he tied off. I started to talk to his Swiss wife and told her to make her husband(a slow gringo) buy them at least a 2hp outboard so they wont get stuck without wind, especially with a baby aboard. They own a Pizza place in Punta De Mita and were out for the Banderas Bay Races.
