Looking Good!

04 December 2012 | Fort Pierce, FL
Well, the last week has been great weather to be sitting here. Sunny everyday, an occasional afternoon shower, but nice warm evenings. And to top it off, the repairs on the boat have gone well. Alan repaired the teak rail...and it looks plenty good for the winter...maybe forever. The stainless was returned to the boat today. That all looks great. Tomorrow we put it back together. I have cleaned and polished every piece of stainless on the boat. Today we washed down the boat, and everything looks good.

Tomorrow Alan will re-install the rails, put the solar panels, etc back on, and we should be ready to head out of here on Thursday. Luckily, we haven't missed a weather window to cross the stream. Unluckily, there doesn't seem to be one in the near future...maybe the end of next week.

I have my freezer as full as it can be (not room for another ice cube), the fridge is packed, and the forward cabin is overflowing with extra 'stuff'...from chips, to paper products, to beer and wine. You name it, it's there.

So, we will poke our way down to Lake Worth, and probably end up hanging out there for a few days before we get the window to GO. I will write again before we leave.
