We are still traveling with Skylark and Flyer...Flyer always right behind us, Skylark several hours behind as they are quite abit slower than us. But at the end of the day, they are usually in the same anchorage.

The scenery today was pretty nice. This stretch of the ICW is lined with tasteful homes, marshlands, and sand dunes.

Today the weather was perfect! Sunny and 70's...how can you hate that. We had 3 opening bridges to time today, which was a pain, since the mileage between bridges and the opening schedules don't really coincide with the speed of a sailboat. We had to push really hard to make the openings, so as not to have to wait an extra hour. We arrived at the anchorage, with Flyer in tow, at 3:00pm. Skylark ended up having engine problems, so at 5:00pm he has not yet arrived. Just talked to him and he is again underway.
Sitting here this afternoon was such a treat. The place is alive with wildlife. Pelicans, pelicans, pelicans as well as at least a half dozen dolphins, all fishing for the multitude of baitfish that are jumping out of the water.
Tomorrow we head down the Cape Fear River and south to Calabash Creek for the night. This is where we stock up on fresh carolina shrimp...hope the weather cooperates.
