NONGSA POINT UPDATE #4
24 March 2013
Work is progressing on Aquarius, the deck hatches are all in, sealed and water tested; the new mainsail has been collected and awaits being fitted; the new nav-station is nearly ready for the holes to be cut ready to mount the instruments; the new wooden cable channels are installed; the new MPS bag is aboard with the MPS packed; the stainless steel staunchions and railings have been polished; the outboards serviced and checked; and the head is fixed and functional. Crew/boss/bride arrives back in 2 days time and the boat looks like a bomb hit it belowdecks, so panic is setting in. The carpenter is coming again tomorrow for a day which promises to be full of sanding timbers below decks and adding to the confusion. Maybe not much sleep Monday night before going to Singapore on Tuesday to meet Libby on her return. Luckily we have 2 nights in Singapore before returning to Aquarius at Nongsa, maybe in need of a bit of refuel time.
