It's Official

It's a sad but good thing, we no longer own GHOST. She is now owned by an architect in Sydney who has plans of sailing the South Pacific once again.

Preparations commence

After a chilly first night as I couldn't find the duvet we awoke to a beautiful morning. This was surprising as the weather reports I had seen in the UK implied that Turkey was colder, but in fact it is now lunchtime and it's 26 degrees! Yesterday was very windy so it was still pretty chilly but today it may be time for the bikini to come out - the marina has a really nice pool.

We have now unpacked our luggage and I'm encouraging Brad to follow my resolution this year of keeping a very tidy boat... we'll see how long that lasts!

Now we are doing a few jobs that we can get out of the way whilst still on the hard, for example we've applied chain markers following the colours of the rainbow. OK so that sounds very girlie but it makes it very easy to determine how much chain you have down with a red marker at 10m, yellow at 20m etc... We've also unpacked the bikes so can whizz around the relatively large marina with ease. Next is trying to make some headway into unpacking the rear cabins and the lazarette....
