It's Official

It's a sad but good thing, we no longer own GHOST. She is now owned by an architect in Sydney who has plans of sailing the South Pacific once again.

Reality bites!!

It's been a while since we updated the blog. Apologies for that but we've been busy fighting off the onslaught of reality, not really wanting to admit it's over! After arriving it was the welcome party in Sydney, followed by a hectic week of moving ALL our personal stuff off GHOST. On a side note, it [...]

GHOST for sale!

Well it's sad news but GHOST is now officially up for sale!

Welcome to Sydney GHOST

Well it was a brilliantly sunny day as we set off from Pittwater in GHOST, entering the Sydney heads about lunchtime. It was a pretty emotional sail through this iconic harbour which Brad has envisaged sailing into as long as he's dreamt of sailing home to Australia. Soon we were pulling up to the [...]

Day 10

14 May 2010
Brad
Still bobbing around out here. We are approaching 115 degrees west marking the half way mark which is 56 miles ahead of us at the moment so should be there about 10pm tonight when we'll bring out the ritual Sangria. Making slow progress with a slight bias to the north as we look after the rig by taking things easy. Still hoping to be in Nuka Hiva the 25th. Life is pretty basic at the moment. reading, watching movies and shows. I head up the rig every other day to check our handy work. Sundowners and regular meals. The sea state has picked up a little bit in the last 24 hours. So it is a little uncomfortable at the moment, lots of rocking and rolling and the occasional wave over the boat meaning we have to keep the hatches shut and rely on fans. Not much else to report!!!
