Grenada Again.

03 November 2013 | Hog Island.
So there I was. About to enter Prickly Bay, and John, on Stingo calls me on the VHF, to advise me not to go into Prickly Bay, as the direction of the prevailing wind is making it very rolly. So it was a quick 180 deg turn, and back towards Hog Island we went. I'm glad we did. This is a a comfortable anchorage.
So for Daniels last couple of days aboard, we dived, bagged a couple of lobsters, went ashore for drinks and dinners and chilled on board. We have had a great time together. And it was a real treat for me, having him aboard.
On Monday, Daniel packed up his gear and we caught a bus to the airport. I've never been good with goodbyes.
The boat is very quiet now. It's time to start on the jobs I've been neglecting. Number one was to install another solar panel. This will, unfortunately, have to be mounted on the starboard aft rail. I'd rather have had it on top of the Bimini but there isn't anymore room. Also cleaning needs to be done. In and out.
Good friends, on Sealacious and Out of Africa, who I've traveled with since Bequia, have left today, for Tobago. We will catch up again. In Trinidad, maybe?

So I've now goofed off for a month! It's been great. Lots of reading etc. Hanging out at Rodgers Beach Bar has taken up quite a bit of the month too.
The planned repairs are all but done now. The new solar panel helps a lot and friends aboard Sweet Chariot, Jim ad Tammy, restitched canvas and replaced zippers for me.
I've been catching a few Sapper here in the anchorage in the evenings. Great eating.

And on Friday, Matthew, my oldest son, arrives for a couple of months. So the serious fishing will start again.
