After a month of sailing westward, we finally caught up with our French friends, the Pannethiers. We met them in the south of Corsica. We were also fortunate to meet up with their cousins, who were also on their own sailboat. Then Zia (our friends we met in the EMYR) reconnected with us. We were now a small flotilla of four boats sailing the seas of Corsica. Jacques and Veronique were wonderful tour guides and took us to one of their favorite beach restaurants. The specialty of the place was the lobster pasta, and we always go with our hosts' recommendation. The meal was spectacular, and the setting was a beach of sparkling turquoise water.
After a three-hour lunch we moved on to our anchorage. What was next on the agenda? Preparing our Mexican dinner for our French entourage. Yes, we had melded well into the style of French vacationing.
