Meet our newest crew member, Bill Vaniotis. He is a neighbor who lives down the street on Beachmont. He has been sailing with us several times over the years, including Grenada and the British Virgin Islands. I remember years ago when we first met Bill, Nancy and Cassie (his wonderful wife and daughter), they told us when they went cruising to Mexico in 1995 for three months when Cassie was four years old. At that time, I thought wow, that is a long time to be on a boat, what an extended and exciting trip that must have been. Little did I know.......

Our first evening with Bill was restful and relaxing, with wine and my delicious Indian chicken rice, Ryan and Wesley's favorite dish. The next day our intention was to go diving, but somehow the boat projects did not seem to cease until early dusk, and we figured we would head out first thing in the morning for an early dive. So instead, we were treated with Bill's homemade mojitos, a welcome treat after swimming and washing off engine carbon and oil.

The next morning Bill and Dave did dive the underwater airplane (see next blog). Now that is what cruising is all about!
