After a fantastic river trip we drove south to Mc Call and camped at the Ponderosa State Park for three nights. The hot showers helped me go through the process of coming back to civilization and resting our bones. Each time I go on a wilderness trip I battle with coming back to the masses and seem to need a little down time to reminisce and miss the people and the places that accompany us on these adventures. The trails were great for long boarding, except for Ashlyne who suffered a major skin letting wipe out off her board. I would have figured that the daughter of a famous long board surfer would have gotten some better lessons on how to ride. Now, Kyler on the other hand has reached the fearless stage of his life and scares the crap out of me with his ability to commit to riding his board way too fast down steep hills. I see a trip to the emergency room in his future.
