Victor Mooney, the Atlantic Rower
Models show nothing important in the next few days, but the US GFS model has been consistently showing very hostile conditions in the Windward Passage late next weekend and into early next week with heavy squalls possible as a strong high pressure area builds over the southeast US and wind forecasts show 25-30+ kts. With a small rowboat, given this forecast, it is likely to be driven southwest into the northern Caribbean Sea Approaching Ile De La Tortue. GPS N19 57, W72 11. Will consult with others, more than likely, will have to wait out the storm.
