July 1, 2015 - Victor Mooney of Queens, New York speaks to the media in Charleston, South Carolina about his hope of finding a cure for AIDS. "'Until we find cure, education and prevention are the tools needed for reaching an AIDS-free generation", said Mr. Mooney.

The finish line for Mr. Mooney's transatlantic row that started from the coast of Africa, which took four attempts is New York's Brooklyn Bridge. After the some supplies are delivered, the oarsman will continue his row.

The Brazilian built rowboat, the Spirit of Malabo, will be donated to the United Nations as a symbol for the fight against AIDS. For more visit www.goreechallenge.com and www.facebook.com/goreechallenge
