Victor Mooney and the Spirit of Malabo rowed into North Carolina last night. The Ocean Isle Marina, located right on the The Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) at mile marker 335.5, are hosting the Goree Challenge.

"With this being my first stop in North Carolina, it remains a humbling experience to find continued support for the Goree Challenge", said Victor Mooney telephone.

Mr. Mooney will continue to row North as he focuses on reaching New York City. The Goree Challenge project is in memory of all those that died of AIDS, which includes Mr. Mooney's brother and to encourage HIV testing.

The Spirit of Malabo will be donated to the United Nations as a symbol for the fight against AIDS in reaching towards an AIDS free generation.
