Getting Ready to Go

Barbara
As the excitement builds in the marina, the GOSI crew is keeping busy with projects and socializing. Barb is painting the sail lockers, waxing the boat, and storing food in every possible unused space. Tom is working on the solar panels trying to get them to produce the max. power. Hard to do when the sun is shinning for only brief interludes. We did a big grocery shop in the neighboring town. Bought bulk amounts of meat and favorite foods. It is not that the islands don't have food, but we expect that food may be expensive and some of our favorite items unavailable. GOSI is looking quite trim, or at least that is what people are telling us. Though as we load on food she is putting on weight. So, we better get on our way soon. Today is a chart briefing in the club house. Informal groups of people are forming as similar destinations bring people together. Barb is off to her yoga class tonight-a must do event for the aging cruising woman. All is well.
