Off WE Go

at 1045 on 5 May 2008 we slipped our lines at the Opua Marina and said temporary good byes to NZ. The weather had been shocking in Opua during our last week there, so no one blamed us for heading for the sunny beaches of Fiji. 2 other boats left when we did and still other are contemplating an early departure. All is well on GOSI we enjoyed a nice shephards pie for dinner - the first time food looked good to us for the last 24 hours. We are doing 4 hour watches, so we are well rested. Trying to read, but the motion limits that so far. By day 4 we should be ready for more daily activity. We expect a 8-10 day journey depending on the wind direction. All is good. Cheers
