We are in Jakarta during Ramadan so getting things done takes twice as long. It is the weekend here so banks are closed and we are not able to do the requiŕed clearance procedures until Monday...tomorrow. All fine on board engine seems OK but will still need check it out further. Batavia Marina here is very nice...huge beautifully appointed ..very welcoming. We have a beer and meal out daily. We are at the dock next to a Belgium sailor who is going around Africa on a small sturdy basic boat. We are embarrased by his enthusiasm and lack ò concern over little things like a working engine. We enjoy his company as the only other sailor here. Today we walk to the city to check it out before diving into tomorrows work of clearing in. Local fishing boat pic says it all for now. B
