In Dominica food is often eaten in a Calabash bowl. These bowls are made from the fruit of a Calabash tree. They are very hard, and in many of the Caribbean countries they are hand painted and very pretty. We will certainly have at least 2 on board by the weekend! Oh, and the person holding the bowl is our tour guide, Robert, and he is about to eat the same thing we had for lunch on our tour only they served us on plates!
