Shopping and touring town

This is what one of the main streets in St Pierre looks like. Yes, they are one way and the ditch on one side is about 2' deep to carry off the rain water.
Bethany and I were in to the Market before breakfast this morning to get some fresh fish for supper tonight. We came in for tuna and went back to the boat with a nice big piece of Marlin. I'll be getting the BBQ out to cook the Marlin. Watching him cut it up should have been a video clip but I just wasn't quick enough so you will have to imagine the guy cutting the steaks off a big junk of fish with his machete. The whacks of the machete were mighty and when we got back to the boat Bethany noticed she was standing too much in line with the swing and ended up with some juice on her skirt. It was in the water and soaking as soon as we got back to the boat. We also picked up a bunch of salad things to go with the fish for supper so guess what we are having.
Our touring was a walking tour of town which we all enjoyed. Had thought of going to the rum distillery on the edge of town but it is just too warm so we are back in the Internet Cafe having a beer instead.
We will head north tomorrow to Dominica, Sunday, so that will be our day. Bought a chicken to take apart and make into sandwiches for the sail. With the wind down and in the right direction should be a nice picnic sail.
Back to the boat shortly for lunch and a swim along with another lazy afternoon like yesterday. Really have slowed down for a couple days and that is very nice.
Guest comments: Another perfect day in Martinique paradise. A trip to the market and a littlle bit of historic culture later in the day was all the agenda could handle. Looking forward to a cool swim off the boat and a delectable menu for supper. Tomorrow is onward to the next island...Dominica. Oh, this is sooo tough.
