A long day! We filled up the diesel tank in Haverstraw Bay, and then proceeded south. Just north of the Tappan Zee Bridge the bleeder screw on the fuel pump shirred off. Adrift on the Hudson. Greg hustled to find a solution to the problem, while I watched where we were drifting. Told Greg it was time to put the sails up, we were getting close to a day marker. The wind was blowing hard, we had to fend off the day marker and then we dropped anchored in shallower water. Greg found a solution and we were back in business. Continued south and periodically checked the fix. We arrived at 79th St Boat Basin and the rocking and rolling began from all the traffic, but we had been in worse. We are going to spend a few days here and see the sights. We visited Times Square, Empire State Building, McSorley's Pub, Stage Door Deli, Greenwich Village and Central Park. Wow!
