Departed at 7:10 AM, we had 47 miles to cover, and it was cold (28), so we were bundled up. Had the Alligator Bridge open for us and we were on our way to almost the source of the Alligator R. Didn't see any alligators. Traveled through the Alligator R and Pungo R Canal, it was very pretty. Followed the markers to the Pungo R and made our way to Dowry Creek Marina. This leg of our journey took seven hours. We are waiting the weather out here. Rain and wind, so the boat will get a much needed washing. Used the courtesy car to get Greg some boots and warm socks. Newton had a great romp! The cell phone reception is non-existant here and the internet is finicky.
