We had a great relaxing day on the Hawk Channel. Traveled about 30 nm. Sun was shinning, some clouds and in the distance to the east, Greg spotted a water spout. We decided to go to the Florida Bay side to anchor. We went through the Channel Five Bridge and headed north to Lower Matecumbe Key and anchored in about seven feet of water in the Bight. We are protected here from North, East and South winds. Not a soul here. We will probably hang out here through the weekend. Greg also spotted a sea turtle swimming along side us after we turned north. Enjoyed a great evening swim. The water is clear and we can see the bottom.
