Put to Bed
21 August 2015 | Rochefort boat park

Once again Grey Dove is snugged down for the winter. Sails removed, fenders stowed, lines and halyards washed, antifreeze in the engine, gas off, vents shut, spray hood packed, bilges dried and tanks emptied. The bottom has been stripped so that she can dry out before a final sanding and Copper-Coating in the Spring.
The remains of the port self-steering trim tab are back in the UK (I had to saw the stock in half to get it into my case!) so that I can build a new one over the winter. Getting the replacement out to Rochefort will be a different challenge.
The anchor windlass controller has given up the ghost so that will need replacing, more on that later.
You cannot just park a boat.........
