New sails – ordered last September – were ready for collection today. Quick trip up to Harwich to collect and pay for them. End of the month credit card-shuffle – this much on this one, that much on that one, and the balance on the last one.

Car full of sails. At least I had the good sense to take the estate. I just love the smell of new sails around lunchtime.
Quick dash to Ipswich to get the sails on board. All ready to go up tomorrow. Forecast is for light winds, so chances are even the new cruising chute will see daylight tomorrow.

Lunch, and a couple of pints at the club and off home. In time to pick up Yanni from school.
And that was it really. A milestone of sorts: the last big-ticket item on the check-list has got a tick behind it.
