You know one of those sailing days where everything is just perfect? Just the right amount of wind from the right direction, deep blue sky and the only thing you could possibly gripe about is the sun getting in your eyes? Well, today wasn’t one of those days.

What we did get was thunderstorms, rain, short steep seas and pushing the tide in a bitterly cold headwind. One of the passages you’d rather forget sooner than later.

Still, we got there and all in one piece. And despite being rafted up 3 deep, I’m quite pleased to be here. ‘Nuff said.

XO off to raid a boulangerie as this is the last time we’ll have to buy decent bread and ‘pains au chocolat’.
