Hey-ho

Well, it’s not easy to keep a blog going or even borderline interesting when you’ve not got much to report. But there it is.
Not been out much these last few weeks. The usual conspiracy of the weather gods, work and not sailing related real-world commitments.
But some progress has been made on the boat maintenance front: the leaking port side water tank has finally been properly welded. So, there is now officially nothing left on this winters to-do list. Empty feeling, but in a very good way.
I have also been further researching the final stages of our refit. By revising the requirements I’ve already been able to cut some financial corners and some creative accounting loopholes. Currently I am investing ways to (drastically) cut berthing costs. Money spent just parking the boat... I think it could be better spent elsewhere. Like getting the final extra bits for the boat.
There is absolutely no explainable reason, but I have a good feeling about this year’s sailing and the final stages of the refit. Intend to hold on to that feeling for a while.
So, we’re looking forward to some sailing in the very near future and whatever else this year might throw at us.
