So, we left Maine today (sniff). We spent our last night in Isle of Shoals. It's a wonderful little atoll about 10 miles off the coast. A couple of the islands are in Maine and a couple of the islands are in NEW HAMPSHIRE!

This Ole Boat

13 months later
It was hard leaving Charleston and her inner-harbor. We've gotten to know her sights so well in these past three years of day cruises. The Ravenel bridge, Patriots' Point, Fort Sumter, the many huge cargo freighters and cruise ships...we've experienced Charleston in a very unique way. We're so fortunate! We had a grand send off, complements of the Tall Ships which are gathering in Charleston for the weekend. Three of them crossed paths with us as we exited!
We spent Thursday night in Georgetown and are currently anchored in Southport, NC. Southport is a charming town at the mouth of the Fear River.
This pic is emblematic of Charleston. The tall ship represents "past time". The cargo ship, "future time". The shrimper, sadly, on "borrowed time", as the commercial shrimping industry struggles to stay alive.
