Stuart Florida to Lake Worth to West Palm Beach

We had a really nice stay in Stuart Florida. The weather was warm and breezy during our stay. We were anchored in the bay near the Sunset Bay Marina along with Grace V. and Persephone. We also met new friends from Mighty Fine and Stray Cat. That is what cruising is all about, finding a great anchorage and making new friends. We left Stuart on Monday, December 28 with Grace V and headed further south to Lake Worth Florida. We had to wait for high tide because we hit bottom on our way here. So we fueled up and pumped out the holding tank and left the fuel dock at 11:20 AM. Well, even though we waited for high tide to go back through the Cross Roads on the St. Lucie River we bumped bottom once again. But no worries, it was just a bump that we could motor through. We arrived in Lake Worth at dusk, 5:30 PM. It was a long day, going through seven bascule bridges. We spent the night at a big anchorage and left the next morning for a short jaunt to West Palm Beach where the anchorage was much more scenic. The City was lit up for the holidays with beautiful lights and music playing throughout the evening. We have been here with Grace V. but will be going our separate ways soon, which will be sad. On New Years day we will be leaving the Lake Worth Inlet at sunrise and heading to the Bahamas.
As a side note: This is my first blog entry using Sailmail vs. the internet. I hope this posting goes through. In the future, when I have internet access, I will use be able to post pictures as well.
