Depart at 6:15 for Mayne Island. Sunny Day. Wind 5 NW in Harbour.

Wind in Straight NW 15-20. Sailed direct under full Genoa, no Main. Megan mild sea sick in Straight. Full moon. Fantastic amount of light. Ideal night sail.

Secure @ Miners Bay Dock @ 10pm

10/09/06
Depart Mayne at 1pm, full crew, another beautiful day. Wind in straight reported at NW 14. Decided to Motor up Trincomali Channel.

Motored for 3 hours to Porlier Pass. Autopilot entire way. Sunny and warm. Played cards in cockpit. Morgan lost badly.

Motored through pass with flood and hoisted reefed Genoa and no main. Wind 15-18 N. Rigging very slack on port tack. Must be tuned better. Hoisted double reefed main half way across. Megan mild sea sick again. Sat together for about an hour on the cabin top and talked. Reefs shaken out near sand heads. Sailed into harbour at exact sun set at tide change. Excellent entrance @ 1830. Overall, ideal timing. 5 1/2 hours long way around. Average of 6 knots.

Another Great weekend!
