May Long Weekend, Over night trip to Pirates Cove

Saturday afternoon departure. Tired, grumpy and hung over from D'Aux Isl previous night. Wind 15-20 SE. Used Peter's boat to get off slip. Turn off motor 100 feet off dock and set full Genoa. Sailed out of harbour at 5 knots. SOG max of 11.7 knots out of river under full Genoa alone. Averaged 10 knots to Sand Heads. 50% reef in Genoa off Sand Heads and took Chaser in tow. Towed Chaser across straight under reduced Genoa @ 5-6 knots. Carol-Ann slightly Sea Sick.

Lost Wind after Porlier Pass. Drifted with fishing line. Peter made kick ass dinner. Motored. In to Cove just after sun down. Very smooth anchor set and stern tie.

Very relaxing evening. Upon arrival, Carol-Ann awoke feeling good and in a great mood.

Awoke to Shaun's face staring down at me! Warm and sunny morning. Went for walk with Jenny. Peter fixed Chaser's electrical problems. Went to Silva Bay on Chaser for lunch. Dropped traps enroute. Picked up 7 crabs on return. Rain started minutes after tying up. Voted to stay until morning Tide.

Long trip home! Depart Pirates Cove at noon. Tied up in Steveston 9 hours later. Rained entire way.
