Light wind day

This morning there was no wind so we took the opportunity to do some motor sailing. The side benefit was hot water for showers. After a breakfast of eggs, bacon and Cajun hashbrowns we were set for the chores of the day. I tightened up the lifelines while Morgan continued to address the leak from the anchor locker.
The ocean here is so BLUE. And clear. Looking over the side it is hard to tell where the boat's hull ends and the water begins. Looking back you can clearly see the rudder as it slices through the water. A far cry from the familiar waters of the Fraser!!
We've managed to sail most of the day making 3 to 5 knots in very light winds. There are still large ocean swells but the surface is barely disturbed by the wind.
It turns out Morgan's predictions were correct. No fishy, so it is chicken for dinner. Oh well, we have many more days to try to coax a fish to bite.
