We'll I'm off again. This time, all by myself. Scary.

At 1900 GMT (9 am Hawaii time) the line was untied from buoy #3 of the Lahaina Yacht Club. The boat is full provisioned, fueled, watered and the crew is rested. The next leg is to Palmyra Atoll, 953 nautical miles south by south east. I expect it will take about 7-10 days to get there. The wind should be good the entire way, so it will most likely be boat and crew fatigue that will govern the transit time.

I can't say I'm sorry to leave Lahaina. I found the city very touristy and the locals were not the friendliest. The real exception is the Lahaina Yacht Club. The LYC was arguably the most hospitable private club I have ever visited. The staff and members went out of their way to ensure that transient yachts where well taken care off. The beer was cheap and the food was excellent. Thank you LYC.

The other big thanks go to my parents. Dad put about a thousand miles on the rental car driving us around the island looking for provision, propane, customs, etc. Mom ensured that I have everything I could possibly use onboard. Both worked very hard onboard at anchor to ensure all the systems were repaired and safe. This was their vacation.

Wish me luck on the next leg of my adventure, Morgan
