On island time

A month in the islands has moved me well into Island Time. The day begins with the 8:15 broadcast of the Cruisers Net on VHF 68, which begins with the most important news of the day: what day of the week it is. Weather has been consistently in the 70s, with people complaining about "cold" at about 72 and saying it is"hot" at about 76. Even on the cold days the water is warmer than Crane Beach gets on Labor Day, so I swim just about every day. This morning I was cleaning the galley and looked out the port between the ladder rungs and saw a turtle swimming under the boat. They are larger than pillows. I hope there is no turtle hit list of those of us who had baby turtles as kids, which almost inevitably wound up getting fluished down the toilet when they died. I have a few more weeks by myself then folks and family start coming down. Looking forward to company. Sandra is my booking agent for people who want to come down. Contact her to make arrangements.
