Palm trees and Holiday ornaments

The local radio station (the one and only) is filled with Christmas music; the reggae version of Silent Night is not to be missed. Boats are sporting colored lights and the Hopetown Chrismas caroling is next week. All the singers carry their handheld VHFs so the folks on their boats can listen in live. Went to the BIG event, the Marsh Harbor Christmas Festival. The prime minister of the Bahamas spoke, together with just about every other public official. Best of all, the Bahamas Defense Forces Marching Band paraded back and forth on the street for a half hour. Sandra has raised my drumming appreciation so I could tell these guys were good, including the two guys in the back with the military version of 55 gallon oil drums with skin heads that they pounded away at. They weren't the US Marine Corps Band, but then the Marine musicians don't wear leopard skins either.
