The great weather departed when Bruce went home. I've been watching stiff East winds for 2 weeks and will probably see east winds for another 2 weeks. We're seeing some variations between the different weather forecast algorithms, but the consistent theme is East, whether it be ENE, E or ESE.

We've been rocking and rolling so much here at Key Largo that I'm becoming concerned about chafe... on our clothes hanging in the closets, chafe on our anchor bridle, chafe on our halyards.

The strong winds have kept us mostly boat bound... so we're getting bored. The crazies on one of the local boats were seeming interesting enough that we dingied over and talked to them yesterday. And, yes, they are literally crazy. Harmless, but crazy.

We're probably going to take a shot at the Gulfstream tomorrow. If it doesn't feel good when we get out there we're going to bail out and end up in Miami. Nicki and I always try to have one or more backup destinations if things don't work out.
