Culebra Creek

28 November 2015 | Culebra
Richard
The town here on Culebra is named Dewey.

The entrance to the harbor is on the east end and is well protected by shallows and reefs. On the South East end of the harbor is "small creek" (pictured above) which allows the water in the harbor to circulate through. That keeps the harbor water clean and fresh, otherwise it would have become stagnant.

That structure pictured is a no longer functioning lift bridge, constructed for a couple of fishing vessels that no longer operate. However, they keep fresh paint on it because it is situated near the center of town.
