Today’s photo is of the snug fit at the Haulover Bridge lift bridge.
4/11 – It was another beautiful morning after a calm night. Today we saw even fewer boats on the waterway. Our one exciting event occurred as we got to the Haulover Canal bridge just north of Titusville. They are working on the bridge and there was a barge and tug in the channel. They were kind enough to leave us about 25’ (so they said) – (we are 14’ wide) to slide by. We did, but we are not sure there was 25’. As we went by New Smyrna Beach, Bill and Anne James, friends from Albemarle who have a condo here, came down to the side of the ICW and waved us on. We hit the next lift bridge right on the money and did not have to wait for an opening. Then it was through the skinny water in the area of Ponce Inlet with no problems. Tonight we are in Daytona Beach, FL.
4/10 – After a leisurely start, we headed north again on a beautiful warm, calm, sunny day. Even though it was Sunday, there were not many boats out and the traveling was uneventful. Tonight we are anchored off of Titusville, FL
