Leaving French Polynesia

Arthur
Just a quick note. We are leaving French Polynesia today. We are departing from Bora Bora, and we are heading to Suwarrow atoll in the Cook Islands. We will be following sort of a Rhumb line course--maybe deviating north a bit from the line in order to keep the sails full and not sail directly down wind. But we'll make that decision underway. Its just about a 700 mile sail, so it should take us about 4 to 5 days.
The picture is from our cockpit while we were anchored on the east side of Bora Bora. Beautiful water colors that reminded us a lot of the Bahamas. Absolutely fantastic snorkeling as well. We spent yesterday morning snorkeling with Giant Manta Rays, and the coral was fantastic and completely alive. Much like Fakarava, but without as many fish or sharks as Fakarava.
