Arthur
We are just now passing through the Torres Strait and leaving the South Pacific. Its just about noon on Friday October 25th, local time (2am UTC on Friday). We are at 10-30s 142-11e travelling at 6.4 kts on a course of 255T. In about an hour we will change course to our destination of Debut, Kei, Indonesia (perhaps via a waypoint at 9s and 134e if it looks like thunderstorms along the rhumb line).
We entered the south pacific via the panama canal on April 23, 2013. Its been a fantastic year and a half in the south pacific. Though we are very sad to leave so many friends on so many boats. We will miss you all terribly!
On a separate note, unless sea turtles like to cuddle, or just hug their friends, it appears to be mating seas here. In the last few hours we've seen at least a dozen turtles, and 3 pairs mating.
