I got up and raised the anchor about sunrise and continued north through a series of opening bridges in the Daytona area. I stopped for fuel in Palm Coast before continuing on to St Augustine.

I had stopped at St Augustine on my first trip south in 2008 but had bypassed it on my next trips through the area, largely due to the fast current running through the municipal marina there. This time I decided to stop in an area with less current out near the inlet called "Salt Run." There is a nice marina out there called The Conch House Marina. I had heard good things about it and decided to stop.

I was not disappointed. It is a very nice marina with a good restaurant and bar. (and basically no current)
