Back Home...

Mike
Well, I'm, back "home" in Fort Pierce, Florida. Yeah, its not really home but I've spent a lot of time here over the last few years. The first year, a month including Christmas and New Years, before sailing to the Bahamas. Then, a month after returning form the Bahamas. Then a stop on the way to my first sail to Key West. Then a month on the way back north. Again, heading back to KW and now another month.... *whew* OK
I was up and off the dock this morning at 6:30 and ready to head north. I had no more than left the marina when the fog rolled in. I was still able to continue along and made all of my bridges on time. A few of the South Florida Bridge Tenders lived up (or down) to their reputations, but I only had about 6 to deal with so it was alright.
Just as I passed Jupiter, the expected cold front came through with wind, rain and cooler temperatures. The rest of the trip was a little bleak but we made it unscathed. I am now safely ensconced in Harbortown Marina in Fort Pierce. Since today was not a very picture-worthy day, I'll enclose a picture from the day before of some amazing South Florida Ocean Front Architecture.
